Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) works well for blocking out low rumbles but struggles against sharp sounds like keyboard clicks. For the price, it’s a solid offering.

With 25 hours of total playtime, including the case, the Buds Air 2 holds up well for long commutes. A 10-minute quick charge gives 2 hours of playtime, which is handy in a pinch. However, with ANC on, battery life drops to around 4 hours per charge, meaning frequent top-ups are needed. If longevity is your priority, there are better options.

Realme's R2 chip ensures stable Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, reducing dropouts. The 88ms low-latency mode is a great touch for gamers, keeping audio lag to a minimum. That said, the multipoint connection is missing, so switching between devices isn't seamless. Still, for a budget pair of earbuds, connection reliability is impressive and very reliable.

Weighing just 4.1g per earbud, these are light and comfortable even for extended wear. The silicone ear tips provide a snug fit, helping with passive noise isolation. However, if you have smaller ears, you might feel slight pressure over time. For workouts or long calls, they stay put without causing major discomfort and remain stable.

With an IPX5 water resistance rating, the Buds Air 2 can easily handle sweat, light splashes, and everyday workouts. However, the glossy plastic build feels a bit fragile, and the charging case is prone to scratches and scuffs. They’ll last with careful, mindful use, but if you’re rough on your gear or travel frequently, you might want to consider something sturdier.
